Getting to Durrës from the airport by bus is quite simple, but can be confusing due to a lack of signage. When you exit the arrivals hall, you’re facing a busy concrete concourse full of taxis and rental cars. Keep walking straight ahead for about 200 metres, and the bus park is right there, with buses to all areas of Albania. The Durrës bus will have a windscreen sign and is usually in the middle of the bus row.
If you’re travelling TO the airport, but arriving in Durrës at Plepa Bus Station, view the Plepa station page for transfers, or check these local routes: Plepa via Plazh, and Plepa via Unaza. The Plazh bus can drop you opposite the Bus and Train Station, but the Unaza bus avoids it and terminates further along Rruga e Dëshmorëve.
The fare is 600LEK. As of June 2026, my experience is that they don’t accept Euros, but other travellers’ testimony suggests they might.
